Alanna Gregory attends IUCN World Congress in Barcelona

ICE BV Consultant Alanna Gregory attended the IUCN World Conservation Congress this year from October 5-14 in Barcelona, Spain. The Congress, held every four years, is the most important conservation event in the world. More than 8,000 leaders from business, government, the public sector, non-governmental organizations, UN agencies, and social organizations discussed, debated and decided the most effective solutions for the world's most pressing environmental and development issues. This year, a major focus was on the role of economic tools and markets in supporting the transition to sustainability, which is particularly relevant to Alanna's work. At the conference, she had the opportunity to learn, and to network and to exchange information with a variety of environmental economists who are working on a diverse range of projects.
