Projects:

Since 2005, ICE BV has been involved in the development and implementation of an ambitious integrated conservation project in the Cardamom mountains that includes sustainable tourism, biodiversity conservation, wildlife protection activities, alternative community livelihoods, reforestation and sustainable agriculture. We are also preparing carbon credits transactions for forests in the Southern Cardamoms in collaboration with the Cambodian Forestry Administration.

In the area of sustainable tourism, with our client we have developed a community based eco-tourism component in multiple locations, as well as a luxury tourism component, with two high-end lodges, forest interpretation centres, jungle trails and nature based activities (mountain biking, kayaking, trekking). This project is being developed as a "showcase" for the eco-tourism in Cambodia and some of our project staff now chair the provincial committee on eco-tourism.

Office in Phnom Penh:

In August 2008, ICE BV opened a permanent office in Phnom Penh that will manage our work in Cambodia. The ICE team in Cambodia is a multicultural, dynamic and results-oriented unit with strong project management experience in different parts of the world (including 8 years in Cambodia). They also have well proven competencies in sustainable tourism, engineering, community development and environmental conservation. The team benefits from the support of ICE's strong adviser team worldwide, whom are in regular contact with the local team and visit the project sites often.

The ICE Cambodia team has built up a large and diverse network of trusted contacts, amongst private sector actors, NGOs and government. ICE's knowledge and experience in Cambodian provides important insights and guidance to project developers to identify and minimize risks and to ensure government support.
